On Friday, June 26th, Shorewest proudly returned as the presenting sponsor of Shorewest Children’s Fest Day at Summerfest for the fourth year in a row, in partnership with TMJ4 and 99.1 The Mix. This year’s theme, “Cheers to 80 Years,” invited families to celebrate Shorewest’s 80th anniversary with us through events like a community painting, duck pull and selfie station.
Shorewest was honored to share this special day with two incredible nonprofit partners close to our hearts: The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee and the MACC Fund. Both of these amazing groups brought different artistic projects; the Boys and Girls Club working to create a beautiful paper mural and the MACC Fund encouraging kids to color inspirational photos for children who are sick in the hospital. Both of these areas helped attendees to explore their creative sides.
“Shorewest is thrilled to be back at Summerfest again this year as we celebrate 80 amazing years in business,” said Joe Horning, President of Shorewest. “Giving back is a pillar of what we stand for as a family of companies, so providing this free entry into the Summerfest park and a fun morning of family friendly activities is, in our eyes, a phenomenal way to give back to the communities we call home.”
The festival drew thousands of excited attendees, all of whom enjoyed free admission from 12 to 3 p.m., courtesy of Shorewest. Young party-goers who completed every stop on the Map of Fun, provided by Summerfest, were entered to win a Family Fun Pack from Summerfest and collected plenty of goodies along the way from Shorewest and other vendors.
Shorewest is proud to support local families and help create unforgettable summer memories through this event and many more. Thank you to all who attended and who make this unforgettable event possible year after year. Shorewest is honored to be able to give back to Wisconsin in many ways, this being a favorite!
